Hi I’m Brian Xu. For me, user experience is much like playing computer games: it's about the small details, how characters look and how the world feels that makes or breaks the experience. This passion became a career path in college after a UX design class showed me I could turn my love for building digital worlds into a profession. Now, I’m driven by a goal: to create digital experiences that feel extraordinary for everyone. I believe that every detail—from color palettes to fonts and UI elements—shapes the world we’re designing. When you focus on building a comfortable, engaging space, people will want to be part of it and spend time within your experience.

I discovered my passion for UX design in college when I took a class called Design for User Experience. The course introduced me to the power of creating meaningful, user-centered designs, and I quickly realized that this was the intersection of my interests. Majoring in Art and Design, with a minor in Computer Programming, gave me a well-rounded skill set to pursue this path. Not only do I have a strong foundation in visual design and critical thinking about user needs, but my programming background allows me to understand the technical side of design. This unique combination of creativity and technical knowledge helps me bridge the gap between design and development, ensuring that the solutions I create are both beautiful and functional.
One of my favorite games, RuneScape, deeply influenced how I think about crafting user experiences and online worlds.
Outside of work, I love basketball. One of my favorite teams—the 2013–14 Houston Rockets—were young, exciting, and known for their 3s and alley-oops. Their 54-win season in a tough Western Conference showed the power of teamwork and resilience—values I bring to UX design.
